Cheyenne Anderson, AMFT

My passion for helping others began during my undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science. Through my experiences working with children, adolescents, and families, I developed a deeper interest in understanding how our emotions, experiences, and relationships shape the way we see ourselves and connect with others.

I went on to earn my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, emotional and behavioral challenges, self-esteem, neurodivergence, and social difficulties. These experiences strengthened my interest in helping clients develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.

My Approach

As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I strive to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. My approach is collaborative and person-centered, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based, relational, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)-informed approaches. I believe therapy should be individualized to each person, and I work with clients to better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns while developing practical tools for meaningful change.

I am particularly passionate about working with women and couples navigating relationship challenges, communication difficulties, self-esteem, emotional disconnection, and life transitions. My goal is to help clients feel more connected to themselves and the people who matter most to them.
